Here are a few from a series of small painted flowers a few years ago. Underpainted and then worked with palette knife, cloth, fingers, whatever was in reach. Proud to be a messy painter. :)

I always struggle with what to do with those glaringly naked corners when I try to crop a round flower into the 5x5 format I want to use. I never thought of pulling the flower into a square.... But then again I'm taking photograph.... I love these colors.

In a photograph those naked corners are breathing room... but now you've given me a new idea! I'm happy someone likes the colors. I was having fun with an ochre mix here. Like most of my painting, these flowers were more about colors and playing with the paint, and not so much about real flowers.
