There are so many good things about this... the almost hidden face, the geometry of the window, the subdued B&W... wonderful work.

Kathi Shotwell replied:

Thank you Odd! :)

Artist's Description

Black and white image of a woman outside a dirty window looking into a space... a room, a structure. The viewpoint is from the inside of this space. The window is set at an angle rather than being straight. The wall inside is under construction, but the window is old and weathered. Outside is daylight but inside the space is shadowy dark. Behind the woman is a tall fence and shrubbery. The woman is wearing pajamas and a wrist watch. Self portrait, 2000. From film. Copyright Kathi Shotwell, all rights reserved.
