Praise and celebration of the Great Spirit... All That Is... Higher Power... Creator... Allah... G-d... God... that's what this image makes me feel. I want to print it big so I can see all the little details, like the lit structure on the horizon between the sunburst and its reflection. The subtle ripple in the foreground. The row of birds on the sandbar. Near Cedar Key, Florida on a wondrous afternoon. And to answer the question that's already been asked, no the reflection is not photoshopped in. The way it can stop motion or enhance it. The way it can hide things in shadows or highlights... and reveal them to those who look closely. I love colors, but a lot of times you can see the light better without the distraction of many colors. My portfolio has some of everything, and a lot of monochrome. I sold my first photograph in 1975 and kept a camera in my hand ever since, making pictures and learning through various classes and finally a BFA from Sonoma State University in Northern California.
