Description
Dog Watch refers to two 2-hour watches aboard naval vessels, both at the end of the day around dinner time and in some latitudes and seasons the sun would be setting then. This image was captured during that Dog Watch time of day. The setting sun casts yellow light on the anchored sailboats, and the pelicans fly home as a light fog drifts in toward shore from the Gulf of Mexico at Cedar Key, Florida.
